To me this looks like a hybrid between a good old Marshall Plexi and a Suhr SL67 MKII. An FX Loop would have been awesome, esp. as Friedman offers so high quality ones on the other amps (e.g. Smallbox which comes close to this). Anyways, sounds great and we now have an overload of options when being on the search for a Plexi style amp these days.

It IS a shame that there wasn't one of those Zero-Loss FX Loops in this, like Metropoulos uses. It's not about wanting to use FX. If you play pubs and clubs and have to volume boost your own solos, it's tricky without an FX Loop, or some outboard gear like the Power Station?

Hey Pete thx, with no effects loop how would you set up this amp with the power station and an evh side 3000 can you explain the signal chain? In your video of the side 3000 evh your plugging the guitar directly into the unit, I’m getting a squeal and nothing else using the power station effects loop using the side 3000 , thx

If someone wants a loop on a plexi, they should just use the FX on their PA or mixer. Delay and reverb can easily be added that way; mic up your cab, and put the effects on at that point. Noise gating the front of the amp is still effective with a 4 cable noise gate - put the key at the very beginning of your pedalboard, then route back through the actual gate on the way to the amp as the last item. Easy. If the venue doesn't have these things, get a small PA head or powered mixer, or even a passive mixer to give the output to the venue. A lot of small mixers either have built in effects, or they have an effects insert - you can use guitar pedals in these, as they're often 1/4" and either have a TRS stereo send and two TS mono returns, or have a console style TRS send/return combo. Otherwise, just buy a used Bugera 1960.

Dave said the master vol in this is a new unique ppimv. I've been SO damn curious about it. I'd love to try it in a build, but understandably, he doesn't go into a lot of detail about it. He says it's the closest thing to a piwer station.
